Spring Foundations - Underwear & Loungewear for a Confident Start!
Performance bras, smoothing slips, and breezy loungewear—your spring foundations at a glance.
Our shifting acronym, GINGER, allows us to extol all our favorite things! We've had a LOT going on the past few months—family, business trips, and life—so bouncing back with some much-needed spring inspiration. As we write this, the weather outside is gray, gloomy, and thoroughly uninspiring. Sunny days are surely on their way, but in the meantime, we're focusing on two everyday essentials that make even the dreariest days feel a bit brighter: good underwear and great loungewear. Because let's face it—when life gets hectic, the right base layers can make all the difference.
Case in point: Jamie and Michelle once built an entire creative deck around the power of pajamas, kicking things off with the now-iconic line, “It's time to throw away your ex's ratty T-shirt. It made headlines then—and probably triggered more than a few closet clean-outs. With that spirit in mind, here are a few fresh finds that might just put a little spring in your step!

Were you, perchance, indulging in the latest season of The White Lotus? If so, your eye may have been caught by the effortlessly decadent loungewear donned by Leslie Bibb. A masterclass in bed-to-balcony dressing, Bibb's wardrobe suggests she packed more pajama sets than actual outfits for her stay. And we're not mad about it.
In episode five, she's in a dreamy Amalfi illustration shirt and matching lounge pants by Perte D'ego. Adorned with hand-drawn champagne bottles and vintage luggage, the set is a wink to White Lotus's escapist ethos. Sizing is unisex, so order a set for you and a significant other or friend! Maybe they make minis too? The label behind the look is a New Delhi-based atelier that champions sustainability through craftsmanship. Every piece is handmade by artisans using thoughtfully sourced fabrics from around the world.
Then comes the finale—and yet another standout set. This time, Bibb wears a blue and black cactus-print pajama set by Bella Freud. Lightweight viscose, contrast piping, and a surrealist print that feels plucked straight from the subconscious. Which feels entirely intentional. Bella is the great-granddaughter of that Freud, and the pajamas nod to his legacy in more than just name. What better medium for dream interpretation than the clothes we sleep in? The cacti—sharp, strange, a little guarded—feel like symbols waiting to be decoded.
Freud herself even leans into the psychological. On her podcast, Fashion Neurosis, she invites guests to lie back and explore the deeper connections between style and identity! Sadly, I missed the sale on the set. But it's still available at full price, honestly? Some dreams are worth chasing.
And the dream dressing doesn't stop there! The show's costume designer, Alex Bovaird, also sourced the caftan worn by matriarch Victoria (played by the iconic Parker Posey) in Season Three from Jim Thomson. The brand was founded in 1950 by James H.W. Thompson, an American architect, art collector, and cultural pioneer, and helped bring Thai silk to global prominence.
With a deep respect for Thai artisans, Jim Thompson created a bridge between East and West, introducing a rich craft tradition to the world and empowering generations of weavers. In addition to fabulous printed caftans and flowing slip dresses, we also adore these versatile Silk Fisherman Pants and Cirebon Crepe Pull On Pants (which may remind you of the White Lotus Intro).
An Oprah-approved favorite, Cozy Earth pajamas are designed with soft, cozy, temperature-regulating bamboo viscose for the most responsibly made comfort. Their innovative fabrics are unique to the brand and intended for all that life throws your way!
Equally eco-conscious, Reformation teases that the brand is “ood in bed” and has just introduced pajamas, in case you ever fantasized about sleeping with us - made from organically grown cotton and featuring weaves like voile and poplin.
Pajamas and loungewear have become so ubiquitous that The Guardian speculated whether Britain was ready for M&S's collaboration with luxe PJ brand Olivia Von Halle. Featuring models in home offices on the phone or sipping tea, the collection is sure to resonate with the WFH glamour set!
No lounging session is complete without something soft to snuggle into—and we firmly believe a good throw is non-negotiable. We're longtime fans of Jenni Kayne's cozies, so naturally, her Alpaca Basketweave Throw is high on our wish list. Handwoven by artisans in the Peruvian mountains, it's soft, timeless, and designed to elevate any space while lasting for years. Yes, please.
Most afternoons, I (Michelle) will take a break with a cup of Ginger Peach tea and indulge in my favorite guilty pleasure: scrolling The RealReal. It's dangerously addictive—fashion's version of a slot machine, but with better odds and silk lapels.
And let me tell you, the pajama (and pajama-adjacent) section? Chef's kiss! We're talking celestial-print Christian Dior sets, a Dolce & Gabbana pajama top that practically begs for a poolside spritz, and—because subtlety is overrated—a Louis Vuitton monogram mink sleep mask. Do I need it? Absolutely not. Do I want to wear it while spilling tea and judging my neighbors' landscaping choices from the window? Without question.
One must watch as the incomparable ginger-headed Karen Elson joins Laura Love in satin pajamas for Skin Talk, sharing beauty products that “Actually Do Something.” Appreciate a great red lip trick courtesy of Pat McGrath! Speaking of products that do something, Jamie was personally on the hunt for a new wire-free bra for wearable support. While she still adores Neiwei’s Barely Zero Collection (and the brand’s amazing loungewear), enter Honeylove, “where function meets fashion.” After trial and error with multiple “comfort” brands, she recently purchased several of Honeylove’s SoftForm Bras, before a 10-day trip to Barcelona, and fell in love! This tee-perfect, back-smoothing, posture-supporting, and bonded-construction bra features “buttery-soft” fabric, so you can easily fall asleep. The wide straps ensure she won’t wind up with dreaded shoulder dents.

With life a rollercoaster lately, other than great underwear and loungewear, one needs to keep a sense of humor. Equal parts pep talk, reality check, and cocktail party confessional, Life is Lifey is a humorous and inspirational guide to unapologetically and authentically figuring out life’s messy middle. From someone who has literally Seen It All and is a big believer in spending on the right foundations, we’re looking forward to 96-year-old Betty Halbreich’s (of Bergdorf Goodman personal styling fame) latest tell-all. Her “lessons for living well from nearly a century of good taste” might be just what we need right now. The result is a definitive dispatch from a powerful woman who always held her head high, inspiring you to do the same!
